trouble playing shots ... HELP

have crick 2k4

when i try to play shots, the player plays some crap shot.

eg. i try to play cover drive (Button 1 + Down arrow + Left arrow)
the player tries some ondrive/yorker defence crap.

i tyr to play a forward defence(button 1 + back)
player leaves the bloody ball and gets bowled.

i try to play a straight drive.. player plays leg glance.. you get thr picture?

i use default cam, hard mode,
have changed controller to
b1-a front foot shot
b2-s back foot shot
b3-d advance
b4-f duck
b5-w six-hit

it could have something to do with the way that u push the buttons, ie: i hold down the direction buttons and push the action key when the time is right

I too follow the same procedure, see whether u havent changed the default keys there mate

doesnt your timing and pitch of the ball effect what shot you play no matter what keys or buttons you press???
