TV Series General Discussion

Thoughts on the latest Breaking Bad episode:

What an episode! Every episode in this second half of the season has been officialing brilliant! Not sure where they are taking this story, but we know that Walt is still alive and skips town to come back for some unfinished business. I have two hunches.

1) Gomez dies, and since he's the only other person at the DEA who knows who Walt is, Hank tells Walt to leave and never come back as a thank you for saving him in the shootout.
2) Hank and Gomez die and Walt and is forced to cook for Todd and his uncle. When Walt refuses, they kill his family, and Walt escapes and comes back later to take revenge.

Also, just found out the season premiere of Homeland has been leaked! (might be old news for some of you)

I just picked this up from a football forum. Very interesting theory (kind of like a spoiler, as it gives you a realistic idea of what's in store, but no big deal really):

To quote the fellow who posted this:

"Also, I think this will happen - Walt kills Jesse. Why? It's already written in the picture. Plus I don't like Jesse's attitude.

I think it's the same jacket."

That's a well known theory, it's possible he'll kill Todd as well as Todd wears an army jacket I believe. It would be insane if they hint at him killing Skylar even though he didn't though, this theory is now too well known for it to actually happen and for people to be fully satisfied.

Looking at that very first scene again, a weird thought crossed my mind - what if Walt faked his own death (using Cancer) and came back to take all these guys down? That could maybe explain that old lady's disbelief?

Yeah that's possible. The 'Heisenberg' spray painted on the house could mean Heisenberg caused this as opposed to Heisenberg lives here, meaning Hank is framed as Heisenberg due to the confession tape. The White home is set on fire or bombed or something, possibly by Uncle Jack's gang, causing all the Whites to die, or at least they are believed to be dead. The neighbour is shocked as Walt was thought to have died too. Then Walt returns, to the house to take the ricin with the intention of using it on himself, as soon as he kills Uncle Jack's gang as revenge for killing his family, as now he has no reason to live with the possibility that the money is gone too as well as his family and Jesse.

Last night's Breaking Bad- ...this I why I watch television.

Very good penultimate episode of Dexter

Maybe if Deputy Clayton Marshall had let go of his obsession with Hannah and the Morgans, and tuned into one of the newscasts, he probably would have known who Oliver Saxon actually was..

And you, Hannah McKay, get a wig ffs or atleast dye your hair when you're out there roaming in broad daylight as a fugitive!

Also actually can't believe Dexter didn't kill Saxton, was absolutely the only logical thing to do.

Anyway, this's set up nicely for a thrilling season finale - Elway's almost into Hannah's arse, Saxton v Dexter is still on, Debra's life at stake, and what-not!

Personally can't see Dexter getting his "happily ever after" moment from here..

Breaking Bad was just wow.

Called it last week Gomez and Hank were as good as done. Interested to see what happens with Jesse though.

Walt's "you stupid bitch" to Skyler = quote of the weekend

Guess he very well knew the police had his phone tapped, and yet decided to call Skyler, solely to admit to all of his crimes and appear insane, and in the process, ensure Skyler didn't get into any kind of trouble with the law.

He has to save Jesse, it has to happen. The only thing that stopped the series from ending right then and there was Jesse's uncompleted story arc and perhaps a lack of conclusiveness for Skyler and Walt Jr. I struggle to see what else could happen now. Walt certainly had a fairly conclusive finish, other than the flashforwards which we haven't encountered yet.
