Well wanted to know how all you guys played your 20/20 matches? I have had not great experiences of 20/20 matches but just recorded probably my best win by far with Somerset!

So how are your 20/20 styles and experiences?

I just put my batsmen on 1 bar short of very aggressive until they get their confidence halfway and then i just unleash the fury of the twenty20 gods Leicestershire. when bowling i just keep it as basic as i can.

I just try and do the same as in tests so bowl to the batsman's weaknesses and leave the field the same :)

i play pretty similar to Leicester Fox, batsmen 1 bar below full. a decent allrounder or two to make sure you can bat low down helps and a decent part timeer like KP can help you put a decent score up. i ALLWAYS bat first if i win the toss, if you get a good score the other team slog to beat you and if you have decent bowlers you can get wickets very quick as there batsmen arnt settled

Yeh I basically bat every player on 6 bars out of 8 unless in a collapse then try and re-group.

Remember though that it's not technically a batsmans weaknesses, it's just not their strengths ;)

However yes in 20-20 if I really need to keep it tight, say I've just set a reasonably small target, I will bowl to the exact opposite of their strengths.

Ok you win :p

But the main thing of 20/20 is your players. It is hard to get the right tatics, it is more about the quality of your players...

As more have said: always bat first, one bar below maximum, some players do better than others at this, put them at 1-2-3-4 and hit at 7 bars until 3 get out or until the tenth over. At this point put new batsmen at 2 bars below maximum and if they're in at one more, last few overs put the 'in' batsmen at maximum and the new ones at one below
Bowling: first six overs at normal, hope to get wickets, if bowler gets hit out of the park change immediately. After these, bowlers getting wickets can stay at normal, otherwise put them on very defensive and bring on your spinner (bad experiences with more than one spinner somehow, maybe it's just Munday who isn't the best at OD...) at about over 9. If you're getting hit... well, I haven't found an answer to that either !

Yer Munday is good at 20 over cricket. I got 9 for something with him. I always bat first. Do you reckon 160 is a good score?

The Best

Ian Blackwells bowling is rubbish although his battin is amazin in 20/20 cricket.
Michael Munday is by far the best bowler....

To score decent runz...

get your Aggressive/Very Aggressive Batsmen up in order and also the one with high form.... put them on 1 bar short of full aggression and that should do the job
