Unrealistic scores?

Has anybody else found that the game is too heavily weighted towards bowlers?
In my game, my batsmen all tend to do alright, they make a reasonable (some more than!) average and indeed it's harder to keep bowlers on top of their game than batsmen.

The problem is that in other teams, the batsmen all struggle which makes it hard to compare my batsmen to others. In games that I'm not playing in, sides will be lucky to reach 300 in the first innings of a first-class match. After about two years, the only batsmen with an average over forty are mine. That makes it difficult; plus when my batsmen get selected for England, I want to know if they're a success at test level or not!

Does this happen to anyone else?

No, personally I find the game is weighted towards batsmen. I have had more than 20 batsman reach 1000 runs in a season, but my highest wicket tally is just 84.

I know where your coming from...on the International scene, over the years batsman get worse over time, but that is excluding your team. I started a game with Australia, and at 2010, there are like 2 people in the world besides my side that have averages over 50....and in the year 2024, according to someone on CW, the best batters are averaging 40.

Oh well...it is realistic enough for me...but sometimes you might have an unlucky game.

i totally agree with you, the games im not involved in are low scoring games but when they play against me they bat well and are hard to get out. and overall all the good batters that arnt in my side dont do well and their averages drop

I have the opposite problem. My batsmen all average around the 50 mark (I am Aus in international), but all of my bowlers average about 40 (30 if they're good). Thanks to this, I have to play 5-6 bowlers every game to stand a chance.

I'm in 2074, the top 10 ranked batsmen in the world (excluding my players) average: 59 49 42 57 53 44 43 49 38 49

Not too bad considering they're based on form, presumably there's better players lower down as well.

Bowling (none of my players are even close to the top 10):
24 24 22 23 21 27 22 23 25 29

Bowlers dominate a bit, but it's not too bad- contrasts to my bowlers however, who have always sucked, all average 30-40 compared to a batting lineup always averaging 50-65. Consequently I get a lot of high scoring draws

Check this out for an unrealistic score. I was messing around with Bangladesh tonight and during the World Cup this happened.
Oh well, Scotland once beat Australia as well. As did Bangladesh earlier this year in fact.

one more thing as the season progresses australia moves down with their poor play and bangladesh moves up and reaches to world cup finals many times this is really unreallastic

In my game as well Australia declined over the years, and Bangladesh improved drastically.

At the moment in about 2035, during this time, the Tigers have topped the ODI rankings, and been a highest of 3rd in the Test Rankings. The Aussies at an all time low plummeted to 2nd bottom in both tables, although in the last 5 years of my game have become to improve and are around mid table in both rankings.

England and India have been the two dominant teams for most of the last 20 years of my game.

i totally agree on my game as australia i am really struggling as the bowlers are now of poor quality.

and on my county game i noticed that in world cup 2007 bangladesh topped their group and are doing well in the super 8.

india and england are deffinately the best teams, i think india are just ahead by a bit harbhajan seems to do well against me in all my games and the same for salvi

im my australia game im in 2020 and all my bowlers arnt to good. the only decent bowler i have is gillespie and hes 37 now so hell retire soon to. who else finds that india are the hardest team to beat in test matches? and does anyone have any tips on how to bowl in test matches because i find that its hard to bowl a side out relitivly cheap in a test match even againts teans like banglidesh eek:

I am in the year 2035 and i agree that even on a batting track the opposition batsmen struggle but i don't know if it's their mediocre batting or our extraordinary bowling!
