User Pictures Thread

Haha, didn't think anybody actually watched that show besides me. That picture makes me think Colin could make a great Lion-O if they ever made a movie, right down to the homo-erotic tank top. I mean he's already used to skirts...

Indeed. I think the resemblance is uncanny, tbh. Enough of that though, I've secretly hated the show ever since my PE teacher called my Mumra (the ever living, muhahaha - damn! He did have the most evil laugh ever) for the entire season.

When Braveheart met skippy?

Well done to vaibhav and Kev.
It is indeed Anduril, Aragorn's sword from LOTR, and I am at Edoras (or Mt. Sunday). Here's a more recognisable picture of it:

 That place is real. Damn, you learn something new everyday. I still think you should have smuggled that sword back :p Walking down George Street with that in the evening, would certainly cause a stir

EDIT - Did it just absolutely p*** it down where you are?

Not all that close...
Regarding your sig have you ever watched an AFL game? It's not really like rugby at all (just the contact). More a combination of basketball and soccer.

It's awesome. Lee, I don't know how you can find it boring when soccer goes for 90 minutes with sometimes no goals scored.

But thats what keeps it great. Its nearly always intense and always in the game. You dont know when a goal will be. It might suddenly change with a different tempo caused by a lot of possesion by the other team. They do a lot of attacking. You think they're going to score sometime. Then the other team comes up with the counter-attack and wins. AFL I think doesnt have as much strategy. You put your 18 players where they're are suppose to be. Then you try to win. I know you can be defensive and that but there just isnt as much strategy and tension. The offside, defensive line, long balls(epic fail:p), passing style(quick or slow), build up play, possesion and positioning. Theres a lot more I know but I dont have a day.
Also are you really saying 0-0 scoreline is boring? Ive seen some really entertaining games which have ended 0-0.

The Argentina vs Australia game that ended 1-0 with a goal in the 78th minute was a fantastic game.

Some great photos Colin, did you get to go on the Shotover Jet in Queenstown? such good fun
