Video Game Mafia - Game Over: Maney and Spoobir Victorious

So we have a vigilante and we have Maney who's a bounty hunter. Aren't they the same thing? Seems strange to have 2 in one game.

A vigilante is a townie who can kill at night. Maney never actually said what his role was, just his character is a bounty hunter.

@Smurf - That post goes beyond me. Why as a mafia would I ever commit such a mistake to reveal my role at night, why not in the day phase?

Alright, let's look at this logically for a second, shall we? Your first move was to pressurize Bevab, because of his usual first day antics. It worked, as he was forced to role-claim falsely, was counter-claimed and lynched. Job well done and we moved on.

Next, you pressurized Zohaib. Again, it was justified because of his usual style of play. However, unlike Bevab, Zohaib claimed his correct role. That of the cop. You, however, still remained suspicious of him, and tried to implant seeds of doubt on the rest of us by suggesting he was the mafia role-cop. This was disproved by the fact that Zohaib revealed his results as allegiances, and they were correct as confirmed by Colin.

You then claim that you have a super important role. Fair enough, BUT it during the NIGHT. Which then forced Jack to reveal who he was going to protect to the rest of us (including the mafia). You then went on to role-claim as the role-blocker to prove your importance. You could have character-claimed instead if you felt the need to prove your importance. You then go on to try and put suspicion on Spoobir. Which resulted in yet another townie claiming their role (before Day 3 even began!).

Now let's look at why you would do any of the above.

a) Pressurize Bevab and get him lynched off so you can use that as a defence for yourself later on. Bevab isn't that good a player, so it was a sacrifice you could have made.

b) Continued attack on Zohaib because you know he's the real cop, but if you can get him lynched off, then that is a big threat taken care of.

c) Last night's antics. Get some of the power roles to reveal their targets, so the mafia know who to go for exactly. You even managed to get one of the protectors to protect you and waste that saving power.

d) After that, you decided to role-claim as the role-blocker. You may be half correct as you could be the mafia role-blocker. (Plus, there's no guarantee that their is a town role-blocker.) Using this information, you suggest that you have prevented townie deaths by role-blocking Spoobir. Why? To cause suspicion on a very good player.

And how did you explain yourself? "Oh sorry guys, that was stupid. My bad." :facepalm

There's discrepancies on your theory on Spoobir, Aditya. Firstly, the obvious one. Both Tom and Chewie died during the Night. Secondly, Spoobir has yet to use his role. Why you would get "successful" PM's from MaD is beyond me, because you can't block someone doing nothing.

You may well have role-blocked Spoobir last night. And with the bus-driver interference, it explains the results and write-up of last night.

My lynch stays until you can offer a reasonable explanation for your actions.

The thing that makes me think Aditya might be telling the truth is that if he was lying to get me lynched, why say he roleblocked me on night 1 when there was a kill on that night? If he's making up the role why say he can use it on consecutive nights? He could easily have said:

"I blocked Spoobir on night 0 and there was no kill, I blocked someone else on night 1 and there was a kill, I blocked Spoobir again on night 2 and but was unsuccessful and there was a kill."

That would make me look far more suspicious imo. However I'm still waiting to hear his character claim to decide whether it fits being a roleblocker.

"I blocked Spoobir on night 0 and there was no kill, I blocked someone else on night 1 and there was a kill, I blocked Spoobir again on night 2 and but was unsuccessful and there was a kill.".

I'll be honest, I didn't think of that. You're right, that would make a lot of sense. Perhaps he just forgot about Tom's death? And 2 nights on a row would more or less 'confirm' as the killer if there were no deaths.

I don't know. But he needs to provide an explanation for last night other than "I was being stupid."

Actually thinking back he did say something about nobody dying on night 1 just before he claimed... Hold on I'll find the post.

No bro, not that. :p

Guys, no one has been killed at night as of yet, right?

Here it is, this was just before he claimed and said he blocked me on both nights.

Having read back over the 52nd page, I cannot help but now be suspicious of Spoobir, as someone has said, why would there be a Bounty Hunter and a Vigilante?

I actually don't know much about his character. Or yours for that matter, Ben.

But since no-one brought it up, I didn't think there was anything wrong with the claims. Time for a wiki search.

Bounty Hunter isn't even an official role... and you were the one who claimed it.

Haha I was just stirring.

My character is Bounty Hunter, but my role is not. I am cleverly hiding my role thus far, and I got a PM after yesterday's Day, saying that I've become more powerful in said role. It's hidden, so I have no idea what it is, but I'm more powerful.

'Stirring' and then quickly backing off when you're called on it seems pretty scummy to me... Plus you brought up the same point as Dr Pepper and he's another one I'm pretty suspicious of.

Well, despite Spoobir's character being the protagonist in a number of Assassin Creed games, he does not have his own wiki page :spy

Lol, just jesting Spoobir :p

I actually believe your claim.

I honestly feel Maney is just trying to stir.

He hasn't been serious throughout the game, has he? :p

ETA: In continuation with my previous post.

If you lot want me to role-claim then I'll happily do it, and you'll also go "ooohh" when you see how I've hidden it. Expertly I might add.

----------

By role I mean power.
