Video Game Mafia - Game Over: Maney and Spoobir Victorious

The point to get across here is that all non-town aligned roles aren't necessarily anti-town. I know Abhas has helped the town win as an individual before.
If my role had the power I did and was town-aligned it would be too strong.

Yes. Hence I said that is I became the cop I would have to surrender my mafia immunity for a night.

So you only lose it on the night you use your absorb power? Then you get it back again? Sorry but this role is confusing me :facepalm

I can change my role every night. So I could retain the cop power or change back to the mafia-immune power. I can go back to previous powers.

No, but because he knows where the mafia immunity is he can go back to it the next night.

4. Yeah and we are also going to have to get rid of the anti-heroes as well. So considering we have found a 'threat' (yes yes, I know. You might be a benefit now and la de da) why not try and eliminate that threat.

Why do you think you have to get rid of the anti-heroes to win? Your win condition is presumably to get rid of the antagonists and anti-hero is not antagonist.

----------

I get why MaD has made this hard but you have to look past "lynch all non-town" and actually examine my role and character. It's poor play to lynch all individuals and non-town aligned players just because they're not town.

No, but because he knows where the mafia immunity is he can go back to it the next night.

Oh, so it's more likely he's actually stealing the roles and enabling the person who is usually bulletproof to be killed...

This makes me more inclined to lynch him tbh.

I didn't quite follow Ollie's explanation but no-one else dies because I have mafia immunity. If they target me no-one dies - another reason to keep me alive as they will waste a night kill.
I target a role not a player.

No, but because he knows where the mafia immunity is he can go back to it the next night.

So you're saying that I'm targeting a person who has mafia immunity and stripping them of it? How would anyone in the game apart from me have it?

I target a role not a player.

So you know what all the roles are? Or did you just guess on the first night when you tried to steal kill immunity?

And you still can't be sure that when you take the kill immunity it doesn't make the original owner of it vulnerable...

Ok, answer me some questions.

1. Do you have to know which player has a role to copy it?
2. If you were to take a mafia role, would you turn up as mafia?

I know what roles I can use yes - I don't think I'm stealing them though. I think it's like a souped-up jack-of-all-trades.

1. No. I was told that I could use one of 3 powers to start with mafia immune, one shot kill or cop.
2. Depends what you mean by a mafia role. If mafia-immune is a mafia role then not as I came up as anti-hero when investigated on night 0.

Colin's role is confusing, and I wonder why would anyone use the power to steal when he's already immune to mafia kill. Why would he risk it? He could just assure a win by claiming that and never steal anything. That would mean he is immune to night kills plus people won't lynch him during the day. I doubt such a role tbh.

No. I was told that I could use one of 3 powers to start with mafia immune, one shot kill or cop.
This is interesting. That should be only one shot then.

It's not a power to steal. Being immune to mafia kill has, as I've noticed, made me very vulnerable to townie kill.
It's a very powerful role but also a very difficult one to play. I assume the other roles are there so I can prove to the town that I am useful even though using them makes me vulnerable to the mafia.

----------

If I can reveal this without getting mod killed MaD did say that the role he had given me was his favourite...

Cheers MaD. :facepalm:eek:

----------

By that I assume he meant that it's a great role but would take a lot of skill to carry off as the town would be after me sooner or later.
Being investigated on night 0 definitely isn't ideal :p

It may be the case that he over-estimated my skill. :(

Obviously there's no point using that at the start as you can't tell who will kill. More effective later to kill a mafia (as per my vengeful demon character).

It's not a power to steal.
Didn't you say you could steal other players' roles? In the beginning, you were told you had to select one power. You chose mafia immunity. So, now you're mafia immune. Means you can't use any other power now, can you?

Christ, I keep turning from side-to-side regarding you, Colin.

And it's making me feel uneasy about the whole thing. :(

I think Ollie said I could steal. I don't think the powers are being stolen from others.
I would have to sacrifice the immunity to use another power.
