I was waiting for your little analysis and what you did last night because I used my item-detect on you and it came back with saying that you hadn't used anything.

So how you managed to investigate someone and I didn't find the tool you used is beyond me and for that reason ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have a mafia.

I actually agree that Aditya is looking a bit scummy right now. As Smurf said he is one of the few people who can validate claims so to roleblock him looks like mafia play.

But I did investigate Colin. You should've found a gun or something Alex Mason carries with him (if it isn't a gun or rifle). Or perhaps Colin is right.

Kind of but not really.

With each action that is performed there can be an 'item' associated with that action. So if I 'item detected' the killer then I might find he used a gun that night which would represent a kill.

If I was to item detect the doc I might find something like a medi-bag or something other doctor related.

So if I item-detect someone (in this case the paranoid cop), if Varun really had a role then then I would expect to find an item related to it but considering I wasn't told about an item I can only say that he doesn't actually have a role and has made up a believable claim we have fallen for.

Smurf looks a little suspicious to me actually, I don't know why but among all the players, he's the one who looks the most suspicious. I mean, I find him very aggressive towards me. He just doesn't believe that I'm the role blocker or the person who targets me is silenced for the next day. Why would I ever role claim as such a important role and not as a weak character? I might have not done the best thing to role block him but apart from him, I really didn't find anyone suspicious and I do find him suspicious. Also the fact that no one was killed last night is weird, for me. Makes me think that Smurf might be lying because we can really not trust anyone here. A bit hard on Smurf if he is telling the truth but I thought this risk might be worth it. Didn't want to go for Spoobir again.

I'm sure if you read a few posts by Smurf after that night 2, you all will find him way too aggressive. I've never seen him play like that before and I'm sure he knows that my defense is never really good so he thought that targeting me would be the best. More so after night 2.

Ollie - I cannot tell, really. Are you sure nothing else happened, like rolestopping by mafia or something on those lines?

I have no option but to try prove myself true. As Zohaib has vindicated you, and most probably Bevab was the godfather, I cannot do anything but trust you. Although we have had non-godfather mafia appearing townies to cop, which might be the case in this too, but I don't think I can completely believe this theory until all agree or suggest the same.

How are people so sure that Smurf is actually what he mentions? The writeup suggests that there was a roleblock plus the save. 'You do nothing' is for the block and then 'You take this' is for the save, I feel. So, it might well be the case that Smurf has a kill role. Themer, did you use any of your role? Ollie, I don't get what your role is? Weren't you finding something? Isn't that the item detect thing?

But, there wasn't a kill and that's what makes Smurf more suspicious than Aditya. Or, were the mafias too brilliant not to kill anyone and put the suspicions on Smurf? I doubt that...

The other thing is I am supposed to be finding the Golden Rings that Sonic always has to get in the Sonic games, I searched Dr. Pepper last night and still got nothing.

It's followed by an 'Ow', so it's more like giving pain. Suggesting Aditya might have other roles?

And I'm not saying Smurf or Aditya is definitely mafia, but since Aditya roleblocked him when he was most aggressive and suspicious of him undoubtedly brings suspicion on Aditya himself. Yes, perhaps he is the killer, but the question again is, perhaps he isn't? Your speculation in the last line might be true as well. What more can a mafia group relish than townies killing each other in confusion?

Mafia will never waste a night to get a townie killed in the day phase. Why would they ever attempt to do anything like that? Don't really see that happening at all to be frank.

The only thing that I can use to describe my role for help is the fisherman or the inventor.

But neither are actually my role, they are just examples of the kind of gadgets or items I can detect.

The fisherman shows the sort of things that could be associated with each role whilst the Inventor shows that items can be linked with roles but rather than creating them for people, I get to see which sort of item they use.

For me to item detect, doesn't mean there is an inventor in the game i'm just using an example of what these items mean.

I would then say I'd go with what Colin said. I'm a paranoid cop so perhaps I'm afraid of everyone and don't carry an actual investigation at all, but label the targeted person as mafia? That's the only thing that seems possible to me, that is, besides being mafia, which I am not. ()

It would just be a mafia goon. Which wouldn't surprise me if there were in this game.
