Kohli at 3 is a terrible decision. What Pujara did best was that he played cautiously as to not keep the pressure heaping on India. Kohli is a more aggressive player, and the new ball generally moves and swings and bounces a lot. In England, Kohli kept getting out to the moving ball. Southee and Boult are swing bowlers. Kohli will fail at 3, trust me. 4 or 5 is a much better place, because the ball gets old and makes it easier for the batsmen to play. Your best batsmen should be in that slot. Rahane prospered at 5. Kohli did at 4 also. Rohit Sharma is not good enough to bat at 3 in Tests. KL Rahul could possibly bat at 3, why not? I think he should play at No.3 rather than Kohli.
