Well, last night me and my mate decided we wanted to go fishing on his dingy (small boat), pretty choppy water because it was kinda windy, high tide and decent swell(his mum calls us Hayden and Symmo because we always go fishing together and play Cricket;)).

Anyways, I was a bit scared to go out in his little dingy this time. You know why...BECAUSE THERE WAS A SHARK SIGHTING IN THE AREA WE WERE GOING!

Here is the story

Now, seeing we were in his 3 metre dingy and the shark is 6 metres and double the width - I was a bit more edgy then normal! Add to that the fact that we went on dusk, which is the time when the fish are biting, but also the time when sharks are most active and come out to eat schools of fish.

Heres what they look like:

Ok, so we caught some decent fish around Penguin Island (which is about 200 metres out) then we went to a different spot. This time about 100 meters to the left - Seal Island! Seals are what Sharks feast on, but I wasn't thinking about that, neither was my mate. Me being on the front of the boat Iam the person who chucks the anchor over while he drives. So he tells me to chuck it over. We start fishing for a while..then I release...WAIT!!! WHAT THE F%@K ARE WE DOING NEAR SEAL ISLAND!!! THATS WHAT SHARKS EAT! So while he started the boat up, I had to pull the anchor up, and to get it up you need to lean over the boat and have half of your body over the edge. And because it was pretty dark I couldnt see much in the water, so all I was imagining in my head was that shark head ripping its head out of the water and taking me in. So we just gunned it out of there and went in shore and took the boat home with out catch and cooked it up and made hell good fish sandwiches. Then when we are all full after eating, my mate says to me "Geez, your game for leaning over the boat to get the anhcor, I wouldnt of done it, I wasn't going to tell you its friggin dangerous because then you wouldnt of done it".

So yeah, pretty eventful night aye;)

You and your mates are mad!
I would never go on the sea in a dingy, especially in the middle of the night.

you big girl hooper, if a shark tryed to eat me id just say 'Oi! Shark! NOOOOOOOO! get in the kitchen and make me some pie'

you need to know how to handle these animals

Hooper you are game. Absolutly game.

At least he's still alive, and his reign as the poster with the highest post per day count will continue.
