I have luckily come across this.

The new yahoo ! Beta is going to replace current mail client.
It hasn't been released to public, as it is under testing.

To get Yahoo Mail Beta, just switch your content preference to Germany, France or UK. Then you will be asked if you want to join the beta when you log into your Yahoo Mail. Say yes, and join the beta. Then from the options menu, change your content preference what it was before. Then go to Yahoo Mail again. You should see Yahoo Beta. If you don't see it, go to options and click "Try Beta" button. That's all.

How to change your content preference:

* log in to Yahoo Mail
* click Options
* select Account information from the left panel
* go to Member Information, General Preferences, Preferred Content
* select, for example, Yahoo UK
* click Finished
* go to Yahoo Mail
* you'll see a page that says "It's the New Yahoo! Mail Beta... and you're invited."
* click on "Try Beta Now".

U ask why join it?Simply because of thrill of having access to thing what others do not.There are thousands of other reasons also:D

Whats the max attachment size with Yahoo mail as well? Im always disappointed that gmail has a 10MB limit when there is so much space to use available.

i personally feel that gmail doesnt send attachments too well...
it "attaches" the file while sending it, while the others generally first attach it and then send it easily.

imo, yahoo has much better attachment management as compared to gmail...

Same 10 mb, but you will get 20mb if you are using yahoo mail plus.

how is the attachment management in the Beta?
A popup window will open and you have to attach your file there, similar to that of rediffmail.
