want to give cric2005 a chance...help?

ok i have both cric2005 and blic2005 on the ps2, i want to play cric2005 but find the batting so bludy hard, no matter what i do i cant hit it outside the inner circle, the only way to make runs was using the 6 button whereby you get out with catches? any tips on making this game more enjoyable as im not here to cuss any game, just want a decent cricket game to play.

press the other button (not the 6er 1) the other shift (on the keyboard) and that puts Power in your shot and plus you have to time the ball

whats the "power" button on the ps2, and the bowling in the game doesnt seem to do much for me..fast bowlers dont seem to appear fast
