David Warner, take a bow! Now that was some century by the Aussie cricketer, and if I may daresay, even better than the century that Yusuf Pathan got against Mumbai. To most, Warner is a brash-looking batsman, who bats only in the fifth gear. There is no other ways to him. However, that was certainly not the case in the game against the Kolkata Knight Riders as he smacked the ball around the park in the first six overs, but guided the team in a more matured manner after that. In fact, his batting in the first six overs reminded me of Aravinda de Silva?s knock in the semi-finals of the 1996 World Cup, where the master batsman kept tapping the ball to the fence despite the early wickets. Warner accelerated again in the latter overs and by the time the twenty overs were up, not only had Warner got a century off only 66 balls, he had also guided his side to a near impregnable position. It will be difficult to dislodge him out of the position there and get in another one!.
