WDCL Kicks off with Rocking Opening ceremony​

After a good round of Warm-Ups the World Domestic Cricket League(WDCL) kicked off with a rocking opening Ceremony. The CEO of WDCL Muhaiminul Haque announced the opening and further added that he is looking forward to seeing the domestic players perform spectacularly here. The main guest of the ceremony was ICC Chairman Mr.Haroon Lorgat. He said that ICC will sponsor WDCL and that he himself is looking forward to this league. The matches of WDCL will be broadcasted live by Star Cricket & Sky Sports and each and every match will be posted on youtube and criconline.tv for online users. ICC, Bell Canada, Pepsi, Google and Nike are the official sponsors of WDCL.

Fitness & Injury mechanics:​

After thinking a bit, I thought of a good fitness/injury mechanism that isn't totally based on random numbers and such. I don't know if this has been done yet or not but I will give this a go. So , If you guys check the social groups you will see that I have put in 6 threads for the 6 teams titled with each team's name and with it fitness levels. Well so the fitness levels are like this each player starts with 100% fitness. Now, after each match 25% from the 100% is subtracted from the 100%. So, for example if Rilee Rossouw plays the first match his fitness level will go down to 75% if he plays another match his fitness level will then go down to 50% if he plays another match his fitness level will go down to 25 % and then to 15% cause I think having a 15% makes it more realistic and then 0%. Now these are the effects and what the %'s mean:

100%- the player is on top shape and is fully fit
75%- the player is fit and in almost full shape
50%- the player is not fully fit but is OK to play
25%- Player is tired and worn out and might have his ratings reduced in the next match
15%- Player is very tired and will either a)catch a small injury or b) have his rating reduced for the next match
0%- Player is injured pretty badly

So, now you have to rotate players in.
To have your players regain fitness you have to rest them obviously but if your player's fitness is below 50% he will need 2 rests and then be back at 100%

Physio Sessions: If you check your teams fitness levels thread you will see I have left out Veterans that is because Veterans are rich cricketers and they have their own physio's and they can play each and every game. In the beginning of each tournament I will ask you to chose one player on whom you would like to use your physio session. That player will always be 100% fit( on that tournament) and be able to play each and every game. But be aware of the fact that you cannot change your physio session during that tournament so use your physio session wisely.

And don't worry if one of your players are on 25% or 15% I will remind you so you don't always have to go through your whole list.

If you have any questions about the Fitness mechanism cause I know its a bit messed up then ask me and give me your opinion on this idea to keep fitness levels. I know its a bit more work for the managers now but I think including this makes it more fun.

First-Class Tournaments Point system​

Now, as we are nearing the starting of the FC Tournament I will reveal the FC points system. It's similar to the English county championship points system but has some differences.

Firstly, the basic points:

Win= 6 points
Draw= 3 pints
Tie= 4 points
No Result/Abandoned= 1 point
Lose= 0 point

Now, for the advanced/bonus points these are all bat and bowling points and as there won't be any knock outs in the FC Tournament and the team with the highest points after the group stages will be declared the winner

Batting Points( the points are only for 1st Innings batting):

100 or more runs scored= 1 point
200 or more runs scored= 2 points
300 or more runs scored= 3 points
400 or more runs scored= 4 points
500 or more runs scored= 5 points

Bowling points( the points are only for 1st Innings bowling):

dismissed opposition for 100 or less= 5 points
dismissed opposition for 200 or less= 4 points
dismissed opposition for 300 or less= 3 points
dismissed opposition for 400 or less= 2 points
dismissed opposition for 500 or less= 1 point

There are no bonus points in the 2nd innings as sometimes 2nd Innings might be declared.
