how on earth do you guys make these patches!?!? how do u edit the c++ coding or whatever used to make the game!?! i went into the c2k2 directory, and there was no text file or c++ file with the code! i also could not find and .3ds or .x files for the player models! i know it is compiled, but how to uncompile and see all the files?? i know i sound like a n00b, but i am desperately curious! thanks a lot

Don't worry....

1) For graphics patches it's very easy just use some good picture editing softwares like photoshop
2) For exe editing use a good hexadecimal editor like hex-workshop
3) For the model editing there are many softwares availiable on net which would convert the .x files to .3ds files so that you can edit them easily with a good 3d modelling software like 3dsmax....

Nikhil's right.

I too was once curios and now I've got the hang of things and can edit team logos, kits, names, etc.
Like Nikhil said, Photoshop is great for graphics of kits and logo, etc. Hex Workshop is probably the best program to use to edit team names and sound files.

well yeah, i have 3ds max. what i am asking is, how do i extract the gob file and see all the individual files?!?? thx guys but i actly meant like how to GET to the files 1st... ^_^

Get MultiEx Commander, and then extract the gob file.

There is a topic here. Search for 'Multi-Ex Commander' in the forum.

You may be able to extract files using Multi-EX but you cannot repack them after modification that's the problem only kits can be repacked right now
