Was gonna pop into Bluewater and see if I could pick up a few bargains as I was passing it on the way home from work today. Saw the queues on the A2 and decided I'd rather pay full price for anything than put up with that.

What's FM09 like? I've missed a couple of FM games as I got bored with having to come up with increasingly bizarre formations to have any success.

Bizarre formations are still there unfortunately, its taken me three seasons to get Manchester United winning regularly, I've almost been sacked 3 times!

Been playing it since about mid-September. I think it's better than the last (well 07, didn't play 08). A bit more in-depth, new additions like 3D are very good at identifying players weak areas down to a tee. You can make much better analysis. Trial days are good too. Definite improvement, though I understand there have been some injury problems/bugs. Though I presume this is planned for the new patch.

@ ?20, I think it's well worth it. I wouldn't say you have to use bizarre formations to have success, then again I only play LLM-style.

You tried the demo? Might be worth it to have a look at the interface, match engine, etc.
