10 and a half in Aus is year 5. Well in Sydney. I started year 6 at 11 and turned 12 halfway through the year.

Indeed. I'm 13 and in year 7, well year 8 now when the Holidays end.

Maybe he means hes going into Year 6... But are they on holidays over where he lives?

Year 6 Lolz, i really dont think people who arent even in High School should be allowed to post. You get a few intelligent primary schoolers, but it's very rare. I really thought the average age of these forums was fairly high, obviously not.

There is huge difference in the various school systems as to what 'Year 6' means, only occasionally is it literally the 6th year of schooling. I'm going into Year 12 in a few weeks, and it will be 14 Years since I started Kindergarten (followed by Prep, 1, 2, etc.). So it is perfectly possible to find a 10 year old in Year 6, likewise you could probably find some 13 year olds.

Nope. If you are under 13 and join a forum that is operated out of the US you are subject to something called COPPA, which means your parents have to send a document to the site authorising you to have an account. As far as I know it doesn't apply to PlanetCricket because we are a UK based site (and it is a US law).

By my standards your an old Year 8er and the 10 year old grade 6 fellow is the same age i was when i entered grade 6
