This thread is to note down your 'picks' for the next five to ten years to become impressive international cricketers. The only stipulation is for the player to have played less than forty international matches. You can pick any amount of players and just give a short paragraph to explain why you think they are talented and if you can provide a few impressive stats, all the better.
Here are mine, for now:
Joe Denly(England): A strokeplaying, fast scoring batsman, Joe Denly has shown an ability to dominate weak and strong attacks alike. Having scored brisk fifties against Yorkshire and India, even the most talented attacks still fall to his powerful offside drives. With an average of 54.09 in four day County Cricket, he has made one of the most impressive starts of anyone to English County Cricket.
Robin Uthappa(India): Another fast scoring batsman. Robin Uthappa seems to be an ideal fit to the disputed opening slot in the Indian ODI and (in future) Test teams. With a strike rate of over a run a ball in his ten ODIs, he seems to be the ideal culprit to make use of the powerplays for India. With a FC average of 41.61, the longer form of the game is not beyond the talented 21 year old.
I would love for you to keep this thread going to see just who is the best talent scout on planetcricket. I will keep a list to keep track of who has picked whom.
