Maybe he might become more enlightened by reading a quote everyday!!

I have just found an amazingly useful utility: UNIX Utilities.

This is basically a library of free GNU utilities that you would normally only find on UNIX/Linux (things like make, grep, chmod etc) ported to windows. Add the path of where the programs actually are to the PATH environmental variable, and you can use them anywhere in windows (in msdos prompt).

I will take look at it.
I have ordered free Linux distros (ubuntu and Kubuntu) for myself on the net.
