Gilly deserved more. Ponting was worth more of the price that he got and Sanga got a bit more than his worth, if you compare to other players.
We left out on Gilly thinking he'd go for 30K+, same for Ponting.

Yeah we are pretty happy with Ponting for 28k and also Younis for 32k is good. Younis Khan has an FC and Test average of above 50!

He is perhaps best test batsmen so far of Pakistan. :)
We tried to get him but we backed off at 32K.

Just want to know if a star player's FC stats would matter or the international?

Same for Kallis but add 300+ wickets to that.

Both will be taken in consideration .... mainly because some players started of with a bang in their First-Class careers and failed at Test level, others blossomed internationally.

We are elated with Shaun Pollock's addition to our squad. His bowling averages are better than any other star bowler on auction :D Watch out batsman !!!

What a timely moment to ask such a question :p

Yeah, actually :p

By the way, got to think we overpaid for Sanga after watching what Saints paid for Christ. [HASHTAG]#RealSteel[/HASHTAG]

Ed: But honestly Sanga deserved to be highest paid player of this auction.

You do realise that Kallis wasn't a world class batsman a great bowler together. He was a better bowler than batsman during the first half of his career and it was only when his bowling took a steep decline that he became a legendary batsman.

Same with Sanga. He is my favourite but if you compare him with say Dravid, Sanga has better stats than him but Dravid was the most consistent throughout his career. Sanga was ordinary to start with but he became one of the best batsmen ever since he gave up keeping gloves in Tests.

Honestly, it would be wrong if you think Sanga would be an excellent test match keeper and legendary batsman together because that never happened in real life. Kallis' career too had two facets: one when he was a better bowler but comparatively poor batsman and one where he was hardly an attacking bowler but a champion batsman.

Too bad overall stats will be considered.

Not debating whether he's the best or not. He probably has the best batting average along with hell lot of wickets which makes him not only the best all-rounder but the best player in current season of the PCPL and that's what should matter since stats will be taken into account. Although, I do agree with the point you put forward but that shouldn't really matter here since we are talking about his inclusion in a virtual league.
