E.g our team agreed hours ago to start bidding, now may not be such a good time etc

If Modi doesn't come on time for the auctions that's his problem and will likely miss on most. Where last minute bids can do wonders.

As stated before, no time limit. All franchises bid till either they have received their quota or until everyone is out on a specific star player (then the highest bid wins )
Please note : franchises can only bid for the amount of star players required (in this case three).

Just for completeness, can both groups A & B then be bid on now?
Cause if a teams bidders decide to go silent and let the market playout then make a move, its a conceivable situation you won't know if they don't want to bid at all or just waiting....
