Maybe because a team that won in the previous tournament hasnt done well in the next edition (as in the case of India in 2008, and Rajasthan/Deccan in the IPL).

Sorry that was a typo. I meant 'India in 2009'. For the first point, we are actually making predictions here, so even though Pakistan havent played yet, we can still predict their fate. For the third one, Deccan finished 4th but still didnt win

Things changes from time to time and so the players, we can't say Pakistan can win because they are best in T20's or India can win because they didn't do well in previous. The current form of teams matters the most and not the history.

My predictions are coming so true. Sami and hafeez are at best domestic cricket stuff. Kamran Akmal dropped two catches against bangladesh and got dismissed for duck against Australia. Australia seem to have it in them to go at least grab a semifinal spot.
