I have my youth set at 50,000 no matter what and ive found that u get the best young players (usually) when 2 or 3 ppl retire. Because i lost 2 saved games before, i make copies of them in another folder, and i was up to the draft in my hampshire one so i copied it, and then i did the draft, nobody retired and there were 2 second team players in the youth thingy, one a batter with an ave.36, the other an allrounder 17 batting and 35 bowling. Average players at best. Then the power went out. So i had to do it again and my career had stuffed up so i had to delete it and use the copied one. This time John Crawley and Craig Spearman had retired, which i was a bit pissed off about. This time there was only one second teamer, a batter, who averaged 86.
After i resigned everyone their were about 5 players in the youth thing, one a bowler who averaged 9.3, and another batter came along after about the 4th round, with an avg of 55.
I always get better young players in drafts where heaps of ppl retire, does this happen to anyone else, also post some screens of some good generated players you have had
