Manicaland Bulls - Team Review
+ Won the title
+ Overseas players were fantastic
+ Amla and AB broke batting records in a match against Eagles
- Too much dependent of overseas
- Local stars were not that consistent
Hashim Amla (10/10) - Certainly one of the best batsmen in the league. Scored a mammoth 711 runs at an average of 54 along with a great knock in the final. Was an integral part of the title victory. He was mighty consistent and that could be seen by the fact he crossed 50 in almost half of the games.
AB de Villiers (10/10) - He was not less consistent than Amla or not less important. He too was very consistent and kept on scoring. Scored a record 181 in the game against the Eagles, putting on a mammoth stand with Amla. Played an integral role in team's success and helped the team overcome a strong Mountianeers in the second qualifier.
Dale Steyn (10/10) - Lead the side with the ball. Lead the team's first win and carried on the attack. Fast and fearsome, he picked up 39 wickets, three wickets per game with an average of around twelve. His economy was below four and that shows how effective and important he was.
Daniel Vettori (9.5/10) - Came in due to Sehwag poor form and proved to be golden. Shame he didn't play in the initial game. Played a massive role the Grand Finale with a quick knock and a stingy spell. He was also economical and incisive.
Virender Sehwag (6/10) - Didn't keep up to his name. Averaged below 30, though having a great strike rate. Made way for Vettori and from then on he only warmed the benches.
Brendon Taylor (5.5/10) - Didn't keep up to his reputation as Zim's best batsmen. His batting was ineffective, though his leadership was alright.
Murray Goodwin (7/10) - Down the order, he stood like a rock, scored runs, albeit not that consistent. Ground out a patient 61 in the finale when batsmen succumbed to pressure.
Hamilton Masakadza (5/10) - Atrocious with the ball, poor with the bat.
Elton Chigumbura (5.5/10) - Poor with the ball, alright with the bat.
Keith Dabengwa (4/10) - No wicket, leaked runs at 5.5 p/o, was okay with the bat though.
Solomon Mire (5/10) - Batted slowly at the death, bowling was poor. Provided stability down the order, nevertheless.
Kyle Jarvis (8.5/10) - Only local who kept to his name. Started of with a band, then the magic faded off, but still he was effective and he picked up wickets regularly, never leaked runs and did really well along with Steyn. Deserves a mention. Though he never stood out in any game (BB: 2/18), he was mighty consistent
Ian Nicolson (8/10) - Did really well. He seemed to trouble the batsmen , bowled well, kept it tight. He took a four wicket hall too! Definitely someone to look out for next season.
Others - Thanks for boosting the morale in the dressing room and cheering from the pavilion and motivating the team.
Manicaland Bulls (9.5/10) - Started with a wobble, mid-tournament we did quite well and reached the major SF and then lost it. Then we got our act together and went on to win. The best season so far, but we need to be a bit more consistent and reduce the dependence on the overseas. Big locals need to keep up to their name.
Swirler (11/10) - Great league management, made it entertaining, took interest, was involved a lot, helped the managers a lot, great ratings, posted the games regularly, kept the interest of the managers intact too! Great presentation and what not!

Well done Dipak and his team. Tarun has been too unlucky to miss out by a whisker and this is not the first time for him. All the best Dipak for your team in CL.
As far our team is concerned, our big guns like Virat and Watto were a disappointed big time. Hope they contribute as per their potential in the next season and we can put a much better show with kind of team we have.
Lastly, Benjamin, its always a pleasure to be a part of your league and ZPL was no different. Great job once again, mate.
Looking forward to next season and Dipak, this time I've much better trade offers than the last time.
