Because we are both only 19 and my girlfriend is still at uni and I'm an apprentice chef. It's a mixture of our income and also how busy we are.

My girlfriend does want to get married madly though. It will happen in the near future, just not now.

How have your parents or family reacted to this? Chef.... lets hope you become the new ramsay.

Who takes care of the baby when you girlfriend is at uni? Is your girlfriend Australian or South African? Also why did you come to Australia(not an insult just a question)?

My parents were a little annoyed but they are really supportive, same deal for her parents. My little sisters (two aged 16, 14 and 12) are in love with my daughter.

I do usually. Uni isn't the same hours every day. Some times it she wont be there for much, other times she will. Same deal for my job, the boss tells me when he wants me in. If all else fails and we are both away my girlfriends parents usually take her (mine are both back in Zimbabwe now). If they can't take her my best mate might take her. Either me or my girlfriend (or both) are usually with her though.

Australian. No one in my family has South African blood.

Because my parents wanted to. I don't want to bring the tone of the thread done by saying why, but I cover lots of that in the earlier parts of my blog (link in sig).

Why would your parents go back to Zimbabwe? It doesnt sound like a very nice place to live from what i've been hearing from recent news reports.

Ellie said her first words late last night. It was a clear "dad" then a "daaaad". Swear to god, my jaw dropped. I know that babies often say things that sound like dada or dad when they are just babling, but she turned her head and looked straight at me. :happy I am on a bit of a high.

That's what I thought but my girlfriend insists she started talking then (around 6 months) as well. I'm not sure if it was a fluke or not though, I'm going to try and make her do it again when she wakes up.

My littlest sister started talking just before she hit 7 months, but it was kinda jibbery. I'm doing some research now, I really want this not to be a fluke.
