So guess what?...I'm a dad now!!

My sis had a baby about 3 weeks ago. Can't wait for him to start talking :) Gonna make him say Cricket first :D

That'll be second, followed by Warne ;)

He'll say mama and dada eventually...once I've taught him all the bowling variations and the names of the current India squad :p

You'll know when to give him back when you're trying to get him to say "McGrath" or "Lee" and instead he says "Patt-is-on"

It seems she has learnt the word. She's been saying variations of 'dad' for a week or so now and she looks at me when she says it.

Strange...!

Why not Joginder? For Joginder Sharma, of course.

First of all Jardox, congratulations on being a dad (I know its been a while now but this is the first time I am seeing this thread).

Obviously I do not know what the feeling is, but good to see your extremely positive response. I need to be very honest, I am really scared of kids right now. If my girlfriend told me tomorrow that she was carrying, then I'd take the next flight out of the country and escape to some far of place. (I am saying this because I actually had a dream like this a few weeks back, and that was exactly what I did - I went to Greenland for some reason.)

But do keep us update mate and congrats once again. Hope I had 0.001% of your maturity. I am 23, but the thought of kids and marriage freaks me out.

Really? There have been two pregnancy scares so far for me, and both times I dropped a brick but I said I would stick it out with her. I have no respect for guys who do that. I know people who have never met their dads because they ran off after getting a girl preganant and they would love to know who they are. We're the lucky ones. We can supposedly wreck a girl's life and then bugger off, whilst the poor lassy is stuck with the baby.

HA!

Yeh 'cos thats what happens 100% of the time.

Three of my mates parent are single fathers who got dumped with the child.

And just to add, I'm parented, or was :p by a single mother. So i've seen it from both sides ;)
