Games keep alt-tabbing out by themselves

In other words, the game keeps dropping back to the desktop - not a CTD, mind you - it just goes to the desktop as though you'd pressed alt-tab. Is this a sign of a busted keyboard, or something else? And how do I stop it happening?

Maybe there is some background software running, and opening a popup near the clock? Sometimes, programs like skype, messenger tend to do that when eg. someone comes online.

Check if you may have some other program running which might have a similar effect.

Happens in all full-screen games?
It's not a fault of the keyboard, else, it would have alt+tabbed you from every software you use.

Yeps, pretty much. It also happens with BBC IPlayer - I'd have it fullscreen, and every now and then, it'll go back to windowed. So, it's probably nothing to worry about then?
