Yeah, I too agree that Season 8 being the last season is good because its already become quite predictable at places. But the character of Jack Bauer will be mighty missed (got to go back to previous seasons to re-live it). BEST EVER TV SHOW for me comes to an end, and I have watched only one season live!

'Live' means watching the show within a few days after its live telecast on Monday nights. I watch it on Hulu.com because I have to pay $10 for cable and I already have a big list of international channels on my TV and dont want to waste money on cable.

This show is like a movie where they shoot it completely and then telecast it. So when I meant "live", I meant the telecast that happens on Monday nights when all the audience get the first taste of that respective episode.

Watching the show all over again from the first season. The recent news of Season 8 being the finale hasnt gone down well with me. I still wish there is a twist to that story (even real life can have twists like how 24 does have!) Or if this is the final season, I wish to see Tony Almeida and/or Audrey back for one last time (cant see David Palmer back because he was dead). Nina Myers would have been cool too but she too is dead.

Season 4 is my favorite. Audrey came in and she still remains one of my favorite characters of 24. And that season was quite thrilling than the others.

So this is the last season? Great news IMO. Season 5 was the last one of these where I didn't think the story dragged and dragged, though this one's not bad.

And even though people don't like hearing it, the series should've ended at the end of season 5.

Yes, it is Anil Kapoor. Anil is acting as the President from one of the countries in the Middle East, in Season 8 of this show. 'Slumdog Millionaire' has increased the value of Anil in the West by a lot. And his appearence for this season (Season 8) ended this Monday (see spoiler above by MacLovin).

@ Rohit: Have you ever watched this show before? If not, you should start from Season 1. Right now, I am watching this show from Season 1 all over again (I had already watched it before, but I am doing it one more time because this show is that good). If you have Netflix unlimited subscription ($8.99/mo is the lowest for an unlimited subscription), all shows of 24 right from Season 1 to Season 6 are available for free on Instant streaming (you dont need to wait for the DVD to come; you can stream it direct from Netflix to your computer).
