Introduction
As I mentioned in the Announcements and Feedback and Suggestions thread, this is going to be a First Class league to be simmed using ICC2010. Simming averages are going to be completely impartial, based on the player's First Class record, and the circumstances in which they achieved that record. Any player who has played First Class cricket is eligible, even if they are retired. If they are retired however, they will receive a penalty to their rating based on when their last First Class match was. Players who have never played tests before may be better than consistent test players depending on their First Class averages. Teams will consist of squads of 18. There will be injuries, determined through a random number generator. This league will be unlike any other that has taken place on PlanetCricket. It should be lots of fun.
There will hopefully be at least 16 teams in this competition, though that may lower to 14 depending on how many people would like to play. This may sound like a lot of players, but it shouldn't be too difficult to pick 288 FC players that are of a decent standard. Register your interest in the thread. I will be picking managers based on who I feel is the most active because I plan to use an ordered draft in this. This could take quite a while but can be sped up if players are active. I have no problems with people PM-ing other players or me their picks so that they can keep the draft going. The ordered draft will also be quite useful at the end of season when we are sorting out retentions, but more on that if we get there. It would be quite useful in fact. This league is quite heavily based upon the CricketWeb Premier League and the Cricsim Premier League running on those forums. Except it is obviously going to be better.
