PRE-AUCTION
Retentions/Signings
- The Boys and X Rebels took part in a pre-auction draft to complete their four-retention quota
- The decision to hold a pre-auction draft was taken unanimously by TPCL management
- It was preferred over allowing more budget to the two teams as it may have ended up trickling; over to every one of their bids (allowing an unfair advantage)
- The Draft took place on the 18th of July at 12:00 PM GMT (5:30 PM IST)

TPCL 4 AUCTION
Start Time & Deadlines
- TPCL 4 Auction will commence on THURSDAY, the 21st of July at 12:00 PM GMT / 5:30 PM IST
General Rules
- Each team will be given a Salary Purse of 15,000,000 vCash to spend at TPCL 4 Auction
- Each team needs to have exactly 15 players in their main squad after the completion of TPCL 4 Auction
- If you blow your budget in earlier rounds and are unable to bid the base price of a player (500K) to complete your squad; your bid(s) will be rejected.
- ONLY team owners are allowed to bid/post in this thread during TPCL 4 Auction
Squad Rules
- You need to have exactly 15 players at the end of TPCL 4 Auction
- You need to have at least 1
/ recognized wicket-keeper in your squadBidding Rules
- Bidding Rounds will happen in Pools with each pool consisting of 6 players (except for the final pool; which will consist of 8 players)
- Bidding increments may only occur in multiples of 100,000 (100K) - jumping of bids is allowed
- Each team can place a bid on every single player in the pool HOWEVER; they are allowed only FOUR active bids at a time
- A player is sold only if all teams except the leading bidder back out
- Deletion of bids is STRICTLY PROHIBITED; first offense will incur a 500K penalty, second offense will incur a 1M penalty and third offense will result in ejection from that round
Player Pools & Base Prices
- All players will have a base price of 500K vCash
- Auction money will be transferred in vCash by TPCL management themselves
- The winning purse for the actual tournaments is allotted to team owners; it is up to them whether they wish to share it with their players
- Player Pools will be formed once all pre-auction preamble is completed

- The Boys & X Rebels took part in a draft to complete their four-retention quota before TPCL 4 Auction
- The Draft took place on the 18th of July at 12:00 PM GMT (5:00 PM PKT / 5:30 PM IST)
- It was a classic first-come first-serve draft - no order to who picked first
- Double-picks were allowed if a team was last to pick - but picks weren't allowed to be changed.
- If 24 hours had elapsed since the start of round one; round two would've automatically begin
- Owners were asked to have a rummage through TPCL 4 Auction rules.
- The Draft lasted for about 15 minutes.

I would imagine everyone has already had a rummage through the auction rules already, but just in case you haven't, now would be your best-last chance.
However, here's an important overview
- Only team owners are allowed to bid
- Each player has the base price of 500K vCash; paid directly by TPCL Management
- Each player has a dedicated thread in "The Auction" sub-forum
- Bidding increments may only occur in multiples of 100,000 i.e. 100K
- Each player is sold only when all teams except the leading bidder backs out
- Any player unsold during their designated pool/round will be tacked-on to the final pool of players (Pool G)
- Do not overshoot your 15M budget; you will not be compensated by TPCL Management
Originally the plan was to hold bidding for six players in a round that would last for 24 hours, it was later changed to avoid any exploitation of a rule bound by the limitations of this forum. Which means, no swooping in at the last few minutes of the round, even if there is a 10/15 minute extension for an action like that.
But, I can not overstate the fact that is NOT an invitation to drag the auction for any longer than it needs to last. Please, please be mindful of everyone's time here. Especially your fellow team owners.
And lastly, and most importantly, The Auction begins TOMORROW at 12:00 PM GMT / 5:00 PM PKT / 5:30 PM IST.
