The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the 20-over Cricket World Cup contested every two years.
Organized by the International Cricket Council, it is one of cricket's flagship tournaments.

2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
USA and the West Indies hosted the tournament, which ran from June 1st to June 30th.

West Indies hosted their second Men's T20 World Cup, whereas the USA hosted their first.
Much like the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, the final was played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

24 teams competed at this year's event, the most in the history of the Men's T20 World Cup.
England entered as the defending champions, having beat Pakistan in the 2022 final.

India won the World Cup by defeating Zimbabwe in the final, ending their 17-year draught.
Sikandar Raza was adjudged Player of the Tournament, being the tournament's highest run-scorer.

Pitch Types (by @VC the slogger)

:bwl::down: Sticky - Massively in favor of bowlers and an absolute nightmare to bat on.
:left::right: Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
:ar::up: Even - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
:bat::left: Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
:bwl::up: Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, making it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Batting expected to become easier as the game goes on.
:ar::left: Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way
:right::left: Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
:down: Poor - Massively in favour of bowlers as most batters struggle to score runs.
