Hakem Lahbabi replaces Abdelkarim Toulali as Morocco announce Knockout Trophy squad

Moroccan Cricket Federation confirm their squad for the Knockout Trophy with the return of Hakem Lahbabi headlining the announcement. Hakem Lahbabi, the highest wicket-taker in Moroccan Cup history by leaps and bounds, is recalled to the national side in place of Abdelkarim Toulali, who has had a terrible run as of late. In 15 outings for Morocco, Toulali has picked 11 wickets at an astoundingly bad average of 66.09. Hakem Lahbabi on the other hand, became the first Moroccan bowler to take 50 wickets in List A cricket last month. Hakem Lahbabi currently sits at the top of the Moroccan Cup bowling charts with 50 scalps at an average of 22.86, better even than that of El Mahi Khatibi.

Abdelkarim Toulali, despite being the captain of Hakem Lahbabi's club Rabat Al-Ittihad and leading them to four successive Al Botola titles, has had a mediocre-at-best career for the Moroccan side thus far. His omission is the only change Morocco have made from their 15-player squad that won Casablanca Cup last night.
