Interesting to know because under default hardest setting - early & late shot timing windows value is at 0 while under easiest they both are at 100. Hope someone from BA can clear this up for us.
As per my understanding the more we increase the early and late shot timing window value, it gets easier for batting. That is why under default hardest, both values are 0 and 0.
Under hardest - there is a very narrow window & margin of error in which we can play the shot ideally. And as we...
Edge it (inside or outside edge depending on the shot and the kind of delivery), miss it completely to be bowled, lbw or beaten to the keeper or strike it into the ground with absolutely no power/timing.
Only exception where it makes sense for the ball to go up in the air could be the pull shot...
But should every mistimed aggressive shot go up in the air?
In reality, the only aggressive shot that goes up in the air when played late is the pull shot I guess. Otherwise, most other shots which go up in the air are due to batsman being deceived by the pace of the ball and playing it...
Aggressive grounded shots with late timing are going high up in the air. Instead it should either end up as an edge or miss the bat completely.
Even when a normal flick off the pads is played very late to a fast bowler, I'm getting leading edges towards mid on very often. Instead the batsman...
Everytime a new patch is released, the first thing I do is load up a t20 game and bat first just to check if the back foot cut against pacers bug is fixed.
You can very easily really reproduce it in the very first over or at max second over itself using any batting style - a short wide ball...
Every player style is playing the late cut instead of back foot square cut for me.
Against the spinner, the batsman ends up trying to ramp to third man(and missing everytime) instead of playing a late cut.
It's just messed up.
Yes that's how it should be - Play early and you chip it up in the air. Play late and you either end up edging it or missing it completely.
Earlier when the batsman ended up playing a ground shot late, the ball used to go in the air which doesn't make much sense.
Glad to hear it's been...
Hi @MattW , can you please let us know if your team is aware of the backfoot square cut bug (the output is a late cut even if the input shot is that of a backfoot cut to pacers).
Just wanted to know if it is the process of being reproduced/fixed/tested because there has been no...
Backfoot square cut getting replaced by late cut is the biggest deal breaker for me.
The basic requirement of a cricket game is not met if the AI chooses to play a totally different shot than the one the user has chosen.
Imagine grinding on the hardest difficulty and facing a genuine quick...
Can anyone who has played the game after today's patch confirm if backfoot square cuts are fixed?
Or is the game still automatically choosing to play a late cut for us instead of the desired square cuts.
To add to these points, in broadcast cam 1 & 2 - once a lofted shot is played, the camera follows the ball only upto a certain height & then continues to cover only the ground under the ball while the ball itself disappears from view before coming down few seconds later.
It's the same whether...
Wow - shot force 5 & ideal input power 3?! Is that the combo of not letting the ball travel into orbit every time we play a lofted shot? Looking forward to trying this out.
Also are you able to generate enough power in normal shots like drives, cuts & pulls with these settings? Because even...
I think if the broadcast cam follows the ball no matter how high it goes up in the air when a lofted shot is played, it will offer a more realistic experience.
I was playing the game on steam & also watching the bbl game live today on TV and realised there are so many skiers (6s and catches)...
Anybody else having issues with playing the back foot square cut to pacers after the patch?
Somehow the batter always ends to playing a late cut even though I'm trying to square cut towards point region.
Of course they won't test the game, why would they? WE are their QA team.
We are supposed to test, find bugs & duly submit tickets on their site as per their format. Ross is closely monitoring us & making sure we do it the right way.
By buying their product, Big Ant has actually taken money...
Few observations from playing a t20 game after the latest patch-
-Many instances where batsman continue tapping without going into the backlift stance even as the bowler releases the ball. (messes with your concentration & hence timing)
-Even after refusing a run, the non striker keeps running...
