    Cricket 19 General Discussion

It what sense? Perry and Lanning are the highest ranked players in the history of their sport and surely that means that they should have the highest ratings. They are being rated according to their relative ability in their own sport. If you had a football game and the fastest player in...

    Cricket 19 General Discussion

It's not political correctness, it's called pound-for-pound. The women players are ranked based on their ability in their own game, not their ability compared to the men. Two separate sports. Perry and Lanning may not be anywhere near the likes of Kohli or Starc in absolute terms but in...

Same here. I'll be forced to do some work if it stays like this.

Strange Shadow/Lighting issue in PC version.

Annoying thing is I had a Radeon card kicking about the place for a few years that probably would have been enough to run the game on slightly lower settings. But I moved house a few months ago and I got rid of it thinking I would never use it. Would have been a great temporary fix. I'm...

Strange Shadow/Lighting issue in PC version.

Cheers for keeping us up to date. I thought that HES thing sounded a bit odd, doesn't really fit with anything in this thread. As a temporary workaround, floodlit matches look great with no shadow issues. I think I'll stick with them until a fix.

No fix this time round. Probably a bit soon.

Strange Shadow/Lighting issue in PC version.

Ok, done the same. Let's see what happens. This one looks more like a horror film than a cricket match. It's a shame because the game looks lovely otherwise. I haven't been punished this much for obdurately refusing to update my system unless absolutely necessary since the time I spend 300...

I tried, but there's no option to select PC as platform on their form.

We might have found the culprit then, Windows 7 64 bit here as well. Downloading it now on my second computer but that's 7 as well, perhaps that will confirm it.

I'm going to try it on my spare Frankencomputer tonight. Not great spec on it but should run the game.

Cheers for that but it made no difference. Slightly worse if anything.

Strange Shadow/Lighting issue in PC version.

This is my look after a fresh update of graphics drivers. Looks great from the other end but a game between two teams of anonymous whistle-blowers from this end. Geforce 750 Ti for me.

Yep, got the same issue. I noticed it on the demo as well but waited to see what the game was like. It looks like shadows programmed by a moon-landings conspiracy theorist...

    relaxedanderson's 'Back to the 90s'

Fallen a bit behind on this recently for numerous reasons including: work being crazy busy; my study being like an oven so I can't spend much time in there; getting a bit distracted by the World Cup (which I really didn't expect since I'm not really a fan of men's white-ball cricket ) and now...

    Blockers bits... (retro)

That's why I have so much respect for Mike Atherton. The were always the digs about him nicking off early, but to average just shy of 40 opening the batting in that era when in the vast majority of his innings he would be facing at least one but often two of the greatest bowlers ever to walk the...

    Blockers bits... (retro)

I've been thinking about this a lot recently when I've been doing my own 90s stuff. England in the 90s had a lot of very good players and even a few excellent players. What all the other teams (apart from NZ and Zim) had however was 2, 3 or 4 all-time legendary players. Ambrose, Walsh, Lara...
