Cricket 19 General Discussion

Is anybody facing problem like this? The shadows are too dark and it is painting every object with grayish colour. I've tried tinkering with my monitor settings, reinstalled fresh copy of GPU drivers, tried few presets of Reshade.. nothing has worked. This is the first time I am seeing a problem like this. None of the other games (including al previous Big Ant title) showing anything like this. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Can you try changing the ambient occlusion setting to something other than your current one?

That is weird. Not seen anything like that throughout beta and my system is similar.
This issue has me tearing my hairs out in frustration. Was looking forward to play the game after work only to find out this one of a kind bug/glitch ruining the entire experience. I have no idea what to do. I don't think it is a problem related to my HW as in that case some problems would have definitely showed up in other games that I play (Witcher 3, PUBG, FO4, Metro Exodus to name a few). @BigAntStudios can you please have a look at this? I am attaching the DxDiag file if that helps. I also ahd the same problem with Cricket 19 demo but ignored it as I thought it was a glitch that wouldn't be there in final game. Guess I was wrong.

@Villain I have tried disabling everything and setting every value to their lowest. That made the game look worse but the problem with lighting was still there.

Post pics of your settings please..

Random observation: After taking a wicket sometimes the wicketkeeper is celebrating with the bowler and having lost his hat. I mean he got there far too quick, removed his hat and is coming from the wrong angle. It’s like the wicketkeeper defaults to being one of the outfield players for the celebration animation. I know I know, bug report thread.

Along similar themes and very unlike me but here’s a moan... I don’t understand the before match action shots. I like the haziness but it’s like we’re watching highlights of a game we haven't yet played. It’s always the same animation but with players who are playing in that game. I just don’t get it!

Okay so I’ve now played half my custom Test and ODI competitions on Pro and have learned that I need to up it to Hard and whichever is next Legend or Veteran (I can never remember).

I don’t really agree with medium difficulty being so easy though of course I guess I could be playing around with sliders but I don’t want to ‘fix’ the game and make it formulaic and predictable.

In ODIs teams barely bat at 2.0 per over and get bowled out in double figures most of the time. They pose little threat with the ball too. In Tests they just bat for ages for scores like 26 off 114 in a team full of ducks.

I’ll up it to the next level to get more competition out of it. It’s my fault. I couldn’t judge when mucking around trialling difficulty and don’t like to change mid-comp but making it harder will hopefully result in epic matches like in previous games not one-sided affairs like at present.

It’s just a personal moan, anybody else would’ve upped the difficulty level sooner but I do think medium and Pro should by default be much harder and more realistic. The AI intelligence was the most celebrated thing pre release but teams batting like a Test for 45 overs then having a swing for the last five isn’t realistic.

Guys , any Pro players with sliders help me ...
I got wickets all caught by wicket keeper . , what a the best solution to fix this ?? Need a general kind of gameplay .
Other than this issue all other settings is perfect.
Thanks in advance..

To me Veteran difficulty with hard batting difficulty is closest to getting realistic gameplay in test matches. Odi and T20 I keep everything the same except for batting that I change to medium difficulty with some sliders tweaked to make it a little more challenging.

Does anyone know how I can get an all time Australia XI on Ashes Cricket, tried downloading from get best but every played is maxed out?

Definitely need to fix the bouncer byes. I started a test and 12 of my first 15 runs where byes from Starc.

Yep, got the same issue. I noticed it on the demo as well but waited to see what the game was like.

It looks like shadows programmed by a moon-landings conspiracy theorist...
