The day England forgot how to play cricket - MCG 2002 - YouTube
Remind anyone of a certain caught behind on MattW play session vid that wasnt appealed for...?
I am certain your feet are moving even when stationary... using your upper body would be near impossible without the legs and feet stabilizing your body.
It would be really cool if the umpys had a 'senses' attributes.. sight for lbws/catches etc and hearing for edges etc... then a fatigue setting.. so if they are standing in the hot sun for too long their 'concentration' levels go down.
worth some thought :)
With that said, the umpires don't give all edges out to allow for the opportunity to review.. so that would be the same for a deflection of the gloves etc?
.. How is it determined what the umpire gives out vs not???
A clear edge to slips would have to be given out 99/100.. versus say a bat...
i sadly had a DBC dream last night (before anyone comments.. no it wasn't wet...)
In all seriousness... i reviewed a caught behind that the umpy gave not out.. it hit the glove on the way through and not the forearm as i presume thats why it was given not out...
It got me thinking.. in the...
What is madness is you think that Ross would deliberately prolong the PC version for s#/ts and giggles... its a business.. infact his business.. lets let the man who has spent his life savings bringing us a top notch cricket game do what ever the hell he wants for the business mmmm k?
I completely agree on that point of past games and their problem with edges..
NONE of the cricket games that have graced us ever fulfilled that misjudged shot resulting in a feather edge!! DBC has most definitely brought this life... i for one am very cautious when I see an out swinging...
Its fantastic... im lucky enough to live in a part of Sydney where alot of past and present international players currently reside.
Its not unusual to 'accidently' kick Shane Watsons dog while he is walking him around my area...(true story) whoops.. lol
On a side note.. speaking of Steve Waugh.. I rocked up to my club game yesterday to find the man himself at the ground.. heart jumped in my throat thinking our opponents added him to their 11... turns out waughs son was playing in the juniors game before ours!!!
Is player fatigue factored in if the games a team plays on tour are quite close together... e.g only a 2 day gap between 5 day tests vs say a week off..
