Secretly I believe Rohit Sharma missing the first game is a blessing in disguise for India. He was never amazing against the moving ball and slow to get those feet moving.
Will be an interesting series - pity it starts at 3 am here.
My belief behind his selection was that he is the highest wicket-taking spinner in the recently concluded Champions Cup. Arguably shows you the lack of spinner skills and how their stocks have fallen over the last few years in Pakistan. Shadab is no longer the spinner he once was (I believe the...
All for this pitch - you're supposed to have a home advantage when you play at home. Still, seems like a few bizarre decisions from Pakistan - Zahid Mahmood seems very far off being a test match spinner - it seems weird that they would select him (unless you just want a leggie).
Secondly, you...
Don't worry - they won't learn from it. They'll make sure to play everyone out of positions to ensure they play in their ideal roles to get those below par 50's.
When T20 became a thing, I remember people were angry that it's a slog-fest and this isn't cricket.
The more I see these leagues consistently breach 220+ scores, the more the game quality is declining fast. Miss the old days of 150 being a competitive total.
What’s the point of a DJ and light show in the middle of the game? That too in a T20.
Much rather hear the analysis and discussion. Seems like the start of the Olympics
It's heartbreaking - but what a great game of cricket. Back to the classics of the 200-run ODI games compared to the usual run fest.
It was a strong tournament from Pakistan as well - some inspiring talents.
Sindh Premier League
Shahid Afridi is still playing and hit a 50(32), arguably better than he did during his playing days. Though the quality of the cricket seems worrying - one of the spinners seems like he is chucking.
To be honest, with the calendar and the amount of T20 leagues going on at the moment, half of them are mediocre. The ILT20 is a retirement league with a few stars, the BPL has the worst pitches I have ever seen (akin to them playing Test matches). There are talks of a Saudi League which dilutes...
The amount of medicore T20 leagues at the moment is a joke - it’s an easy money grab for medicore players that know they won’t be the international XI.
Atleast when you had the Champions T20 Trophy, there was some sort of competition between these leagues.
Babar has lost all his confidence - dropped by Chapman on his second/third ball and can't seem to get the ball off the square. Shaky running as well. Clearly in his own head.
Further reports of Najam Sethi potentially coming back in to the board.
Mickey Arthur already opening another bank account for that free secondary paycheck coming his way.
I haven't seen anyone discuss this yet.
Some super exciting talent tbh. Not sure where any of the games are being streamed though - can only find the India Vs Bangladesh one on TV.
Be interesting to see what WI have learned from the Pak tour. Be nice to see how the adapt their game for this series.
Really hoping they put up a good fight!
