It looks as though Sky TV in New Zealand will be showing a good chunk of the Big Bash this year. I wonder what prompted that, it's awesome though because the games are usually on at a pretty good time here.

The problem is those "performances" have come over the space of about 18 months and 15 odd games. He has a decent first class batting record but most of those runs came late last season, for all we know it was just a period of some rather good form and not the real Steve Smith.
So shouldn't they have come into this test with a spinning option then? - A proper spinning option that is. Unless of course they were hoping it would stay overcast for the whole duration of the test match.
Personally I honestly can't see the logic in picking four quicks when you have Shane...
Bah, I had just written out a decent paragraph worth of my thoughts on the game only for PC to log me out :noway
So in short, Adam Milne didn't bowl badly at all imo, and that seems to be the general consensus. He bowled a rather decent line and length for the most part but unlike the longer...
New Zealand's 30 man squad has been named:
Adam Milne's selection smacks of desperation. He hasn't even made his List A debut yet ffs. I can see it now though, he's a couple of good 20/20 performances away from the ODI team and he's a couple of good ODI performances away from the Test squad...
Ah, there is too much Michael Bates love on PC :p I've never been a fan personally, he tops out at around 130K and offers way too many loose balls. He's turned into a pretty handy 20/20 player lately but he's still pretty meh to me.
Jeez, you must be getting close to bottom of the barrel stuff when you select Luke Woodcock for a national team. He's a decent player but he shouldn't be anywhere near the New Zealand team. Would of gone for Nick Beard myself whose carrer economy is .6 lower then Woodcock's.
Adam Milne well...
;)
It's just a comment like this
doesn't make much sense coming from a New Zealand fan when we have a team full of players who seem content with throwing there wickets away. I'd much rather good balls getting players out then poor ones.
It seems as though nobody can win with you tbh. After the second ODI you called for Southee, Mills or Nathan McCullum to open if Brendon McCullum wasn't available to help get New Zealand of to a quick start. McCullum comes back and fails (which is going to happen on a pitch like this) and all of...
Yeah, Andrew Mathieson. He'd go close to being the quickest bowler in the country, would easily be mid 140's, just a natural bowling freak. He's been talked up for years and probably should of played first class cricket well before today - even though it was a poor start. As long as he doesn't...
So in three innings, two of which he's brought up milestones in your've concluded that he's suspect against pace bowling and doesn't have very good timing or placement? That probably goes against everything that was said of Williamson well before his test debut. His record on the two quickest...
Had New Zealand played another seamer instead of Patel the balance of this bowling attack would have been fine, both Williamson and Ryder are good enough 5th bowling options imo. What irks me is that everyone knew playing Patel was a mistake, yet he was picked anyway. He was carrying no form...
Obv. But he wouldn't be in my XI :p Given that the international players will probably miss at least half the games the team I named is very unlikely to play anyhow.
