Pakistani Tour of New Zealand, Dec-Feb 2010/11

The 20/20 world cup thingy or whatever it is called is just a lottery, Pakistan nearly made the final after only winning 2 games out of six or something, it's a joke, England winning that proved nothing

What about World Cup 1992 ? There too, had Pakistan-England match not been washed out, they would never ever have made the finals.

Big inside edge but who cares. I hate Umar Akmal's guts.

SOUTHEE!!!! :D

Great bowling from him though Akmal was a bit unlucky there.

For the whole second innings I had some Indian jokers standing behind me, yelling racist stuff out at the Pakistan players. They got two warnings from the security staff, but didn't get kicked out. They weren't like kids as well, the were grown adults, I mean wtf. And we were right next to the NZ players, so everytime one of them walked near us, they'd just go crazy.

Milne looked very average, I'm still not convinced on his selection at all, he hasn't done much at domestic level, and although he had a few inside edges etc, he got slapped, not to mention the sitter he dropped. I have no doubt that provided he stays injury free he'll be a great servant to NZ cricket, but I just think it's too early.

Southee and Guptill were fantastic, and it was good to see Taylor show some real maturity with the bat and bring us home in the end.

I agree that bringing Milne into the side now is way too early, but he didn't look too bad. He was quite unlucky at times getting a few edges going to the boundary or for six. He showed really good pace though, with one delivery getting up to 148kms.

Bah, I had just written out a decent paragraph worth of my thoughts on the game only for PC to log me out :noway

So in short, Adam Milne didn't bowl badly at all imo, and that seems to be the general consensus. He bowled a rather decent line and length for the most part but unlike the longer forms of the game it isn't always going to bring you success in 20/20 cricket. He was able to do what he was selected for and that was to bowl quickly, 140 is quick at 18 but getting upwards of 150 which he was able to do is downright scary. He'll get at least another game but I hope they give him all three, they might as well as far as I'm concerned. Then send him back to domestic cricket and wait for an A tour to come up.

g milne is raw yes bowling at 148k is nice but man afta a couple of spankings from the highest level the kid will have no confidence left. lets use our heads with the man and nurcher him in not just through him in the deep end. and brwonle waset very convincing ever. his shots looked very provincal i hope he does well and doesnt turn into another shannon stwert.
Give sherlock a go hes quick and experianced

Peter McGlashan :lol

Reverse sweeping sixes, scooping for four, he has it all :D

That was more or less a perfect T20 innings.
We kept a decent RR for the first 10 overs, but more importantly kept wickets in hand, and then our middle order players done exactly what was required.
Everyone in our top six seems to be in form, Ryder is the only one who hasn't got a score over the last two games, but he was coming off a 80 and a 60 in domestic cricket.

Hopefully Milne will come back in for Butler next match, so we'll be able to see a bit more of him. I'd like to see Brownlie again, but I don't really see where he can come back in, because of how well Woodcock bowled, and how our top six played.

With the series win I think they'll play all three for experience.

Franklin batting a bit quicker would have been nice though.

Brownlie in for Franklin and Milne in for Butler. If the pitch doesn't support spin then take Woodcock out instead for Brownlie?

I think Franklens 40 was well timed at that point of the game. If he had tried to get on with and got out early who nos wat could of happend?
Last 4 overs were a bit of a letdown thought we would of made 200 at 1 stage but oh well. Bring back milne 4 butler he dont look that threatning anymore or give mills a rest he may be 1 of our better bowlers but g hes expensive
