Don't you think there was a lot more pressure on Ryder, though? Gambhir was part of a team that could probably still have won the series if he'd scored a string of ducks. Ryder was part of a team that would have crumbled to dust if he'd scored a string of ducks. Big difference.

Any idea what is the best way to follow IPL? Am going to be on the move a bit...anything for mobile platforms?

So you would give a guy MoS because he made sure his team didnt get totally embarrassed and dug them out of humiliating defeats.

In some cases, yes - and so would you, I think.

If one batsman (on a losing side) scored 50%+ of his side's runs in every match and constantly looked they might be about to take the match away from the winning side, well, who else would you give the series to? It wouldn't even have been a contest without this hypothetical batsman.

I'm not saying Jesse Ryder's that guy - but with another good innings in the third match he could've come pretty close.

Gambhir would have been relegated back to Delhi and we'd bring back Jaffer or Chopra if he scored a string of ducks.
