Surely the victory for England in the Commonwealth Bank Series in 2007 has got to be in there after what had gone on before in the previous two months ;):D
2nd Final: Australia v England at Sydney, Feb 11, 2007 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
A good final, one which looked like being a stroll for Matin Adams at the start as he raced into a 3-0 set lead. But Dave Chisnall eventually clawed his way back into the game and gave it a real good go but evenerytime he got himself within touching distance of Adams he had three poor arrows...
Wayne Parnell is certainly an interesting one. He did really well in the T20 World Cup last year but has apparently struggled in domestic cricket this season according to what I've heard and seen of his stats.
Good stats there Owzat and very good reading for England supporters. It annoys me when people use the phrase 'lucky' to those draws that England have picked up over the pst few tests. Perhaps just perhaps the England tail has improved over the years (which it has) so a bit of credit wouldn't go...
Last night showed that the BDO format is still alive and kicking and can be a match for the PDC everyday of the week. Newcomer Dave Chisnall was 4-1 down at the break to current champion Ted Hankey. Chisnall produced a stunning comback though and beat Hankey 5-4 to progress into the semi-final...
Get in, I've been pacing up and down the office at work for the last half an hour but can now finally relax. Only been able to follow it on cricinfo but what another great test match.
Who says test match cricket is dead!! :banana2
I would say Bell just about. He is playing a similar innings today as to that of North on the final day of the third Ashes test @ Edgbaston in 2009.
Both are pretty much the same though as are really good in county cricket and can sometimes struggle on the international stage. Bell is finally...
I still think that most casual darts supporters think that there is only the PDC out there as you ask any person in the street to name a couple of darts players names and they will always give PDC players names.
The BBC BDO tournament is and always will be the original darts world champion...
I think that's a bit unfair Barmy as the BDO does have some really good players. Saying that I don't think there will ever be a worse leg of darts from someone at the Championships for a long time.
Look at how poor Mardle has been of late, that first night at the World Championship he was...
It all depends on how long it takes for the South African's to take the first wicket in the morning as I can't see us winning this. Trott and Colly are going to have to do a lot of blocking to see us through I feel!
I'm surprised more haven't commented on this as I think it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to us English supporters as this has always been a season opener at Lords. It just won't be the same!
As for my failure of the decade, there have been a few being an England supporter.
The last two World Cups (Defeat to Australia in 03 when we had them on the ropes stands out)
Not building on winning the Ashes in 05 (Lost our next test series to Pakistan and it was just a shame that that...
Do any of you feel that the F.A. Cup has slightly lost it's magic?
At the end of the day last weekend was saved by that Manchester United v Leeds United result as there were no other shocks as in previous years.
Wish i could mate, but im not any good at that sort of stuff i will leave it to you experts. I just like playing the games and having a bit of banter with the other members, lol.:p
I'm back, for some reason I didnt log on for ages (Probably due to always seem to have some uni work to do lol).
But decided to see if the forum was still running and i was glad to see it was so thought i might as well start contributing again.
