Ross Symonds responded to my question on pitch behaviour changing as day progresses on twitter. He said, "The pitch will wear and change over time, winning the toss can be very important."
Strange. I played on ps4 - Ashes mode on latest patch. One side of the ball loses shine a bit, the logo goes off the ball around 20 overs. After that it remains same till 80 overs. Not a single ball is simulated. Please let me know what kind of tournament you played and on which platform.
I wish Bigant would have thought about the ball variations based on type(red, white, pink) and pitch condition and pitch degradation. Would have been so much fun to see odd seam, bounce movements. The game becomes monotonous in a test match.
About ball wearing:
1. 1st 10 overs you can see logo on both sides of the ball.
2. 10-20 overs the logo fades out on one side. Shine on both sides.
3. 30-40 overs the logo nearly disappeared on one side. Shine still intact on both sides.
4. In progress...

I haven't simulated a single...
I second this. Whenever you SIM the game the ball wears but not when you are actually playing. Not sure if the detiorated ball has any affect on gameplay.
I played a casual match to check ball detioration. I simulated 50 overs to check and the ball was swinging less a bit I feel. Can someone confirm please. Spinning was nearly same from New ball to old ball from day 1 to day 5. So I will play 5 casual Eng vs Aus matches instead of competition just...
I had logged issues on ball and pitch degradation affecting the physics of the game with support@bigant and I got a reply.
The issues:
The reply:
I am hoping they resolve something in the next patch!
After patch 1.11, it seems the ball and pitch deterioration does not take place in competition and Ashes. As per the discussions I am planing to pause the Ashes and start India-Westindies in casual mode and check if the wearing ball and pitch has any affect on game play. I really feel this...
This is exactly I am requesting bigant since 14. Pitch degradation should affect the ball which adds realistic nature to the game. Odd bounce, seam movement and spin on cracks is needed. Also older ball should seam less, rubbing ball should maintain shine.
