12th Match, Group A: Deccan v Trinidad & T at Hyderabad (Decc)

Symonds was run out. Styris got run out by Rao. Symonds got wicket and one run out. Don't even compare Roy with Rao.

yea true I shouldn't do that, Rao > Symonds.

Styris got run out by himself because he tried taking a run that was never there, he hit it straight to the fielder.

Rao gave Deccan a chance of victory. Can't believe you are slagging him off. Symonds has done bugger all when he's batted or bowled. I agree: Rao > Symonds.

Yeah well Rao did give them a chance at the easy win one could see with 4 overs remaining. Sadly he just couldn't finish it.

But for the day, definitely Rao > Symonds even though its a foolish comparison.

it's good for the tournament.

sri lanka and new zealands teams go home but the multi-national feel has been somewhat retained by T&T and somerset going through.

hoping TNT make the semi's now but the Cobras and NSW look the most onimously threatening. the IPL teams may pick up a little though.

T&T have looked good in their two matches. Bravo has been instrumental in both wins.
Surprised Deccan lost after Gilly got them away to a good start. Symonds was a let down for them, they needed more from him with the bat.

If people are looking for a scapegoat, then surely Gilchrist and to a lesser extent Sharma are the places to look. They were comfortable with those two there before Gilchrist holed out and then Sharma threw away his wicket.

It was really a good close match, i didnt expect it that close and Deccan to loose ...In T20 we cant predict on a team, anything can happen...

It was a short total, proved by the able batting of Gilchrist and Rao, while for the away team, Perkins was hardly fluttered and Pollard... well, if anyone can hit an 'effortless' six he sure can. Good bowling by Bravo got the early wickets that took away Deccan's hopes of an irresistible charge, but the victory was sealed through fielding skill. Yes, the batsmen made critical errors leading to run outs, but we've seen plenty of chances squandered. The outfield catch to dismiss Gilchrist was perhaps the gamebreaker; the shot was there and it wasn't badly struck. "Better" teams have missed out on that sort of a wicket.
