15th Match, Group F: Australia v India at Bridgetown

Well deserved 3 fer for Tait, in the end he got what he deserved. Nannes brilliant again, Johnson slightly off his best but that can be put down to his elbow.

They need to win two game to go for Semi's or If the NRR is low then they can't..

Well played Australia. They deserve to go on and win the tournament with the team they have. They have all 3 covered- batting, bowling and fielding.

Just noticed that. 1 run out, disappointed. Bloody Tait bowling a wide in the last over.

Excellent performance from Australia. Tait and Nannes were brilliant, and the batting was awesome. India were dismal for 15 overs in the field and then batted woefully. Nice innings from Rohit Sharma though.

What did Rohit think in the end there? Why did he take singles to expose both Zaheer and Nehra to Shaun Tait? Had Rohit not done that, we could have possibly scored 10-15 more runs (or maybe even more considering that Rohit was getting into that red hot zone in the end). Anyways, 135 sounds much better in the end than a total less than 100. Well done KP for predicting 134.

Next match vs West Indies. Its their home ground, and on the same Barbados ground. God help us! Hope our team selection is better next time. The winner of today's SL vs WI will feel a lot more confident of going through to the semis along with Australia. Only encouragement for India is that we lost to New Zealand in our first Super Eight match in the 2007 edition but came back well to win the tournament. We need a comeback of that kind.

^India lost last time to the Windies so that could be a big match!

Aus to win no doubt

Dude let it go, it was lost long before then

Stupid from Sharma. Should've kept the strike and batted out the 20 overs to get that NRR up.

God save us from the bouncers which will come too very often now in rest of our matches.

This just shows how very ordinary SA's tactics were. India should have been ripped apart then and there. So, its all Smith's mistake for letting us, the Indian fans to get our hopes high. :p

Now that I think about it, what happened to the Ozs last time, or even year before that. I guess those beating against Zims woke em up!

I am not talking about victory, I was talking about the difference it could have made to our net run rate. When Yuvraj got out, I gave up on victory and only concerned about our run rate. Another 15-20 runs in the 14 balls remaining could have even more boosted our NRR, which could prove to be crucial if we win a game or two in the next two (we have our SL game at St Lucia, which is far better than Barbados).

Captain Obvious.

MS Dhoni

"It started with a couple of overs that went for 40-odd runs. Watson and Warner batted very well and took the game away from us. We did well in the end to restrict them to 180. Most of the teams bowl short to us. Maybe we can leave the deliveries initially. It's important to win the two remaining games, and the run-rate will take care of itself."
