2 questions ...

New here (and glad I found this forum)...

I've been using the "Around the world in 80 pitch sliders" and I have a couple of questions :

1- Do you guys use "house rules" for fielding positionning ? (I just finished a 48-10 test match againts Ireland using Scotland, by positionning a fielder near the batsman ang got 6 wickets that way)

2- In batting, what is the differnce between "attacking" and "precision shot" & I'm gettig way too many edges and was wondering if it would help me using "precision shots" ?

I've started to not use a silly mid on/silly mid off at all when bowling with spin because yeh gets way too many wickets that way. Otherwise I haven't found another fielding position that seems to get to way too many wickets.
