2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - India (UAE/Oman)

Required run rate almost at 18... I don't think Namibia can reach that but stranger things have happened...

Pakistan get the two points, but it's a moral victory for Namibia since they were able to bat 20 overs for a decent score against a full strength Pak attack. Didn't look like they were trying to chase the score down, but didn't want to be bundled out for less than 100 either. Well played Namibia.

So another loss for us coming tomorrow against Afghanistan.

Rashid Khan to pick 6 for 10.

I really want to see Afghanistan qualifying for the semis. It would be a fairytale story.

Bye Bye, India!

I have a feeling that Afghanistan will deliver the final blow to the Indian campaign today. We essentially have a match-up among 2 countries playing an exact opposite brand of cricket. India are reserved, take the game deep. Afghans are aggressive and go for the kill and attacking shots. Given how jaded the Indian line up is, not ruling out an Afghan victory here.

So Pakistan through to the Semis. What a wonderful journey this has been so far. Its just a matter of 2 games now at the knockout stage. Whatever the end of result of our Campaign, I am personally highly satisfied with this Team's Performance. This team showed passion, class, and commitment. They have achieved more than enough as per the expectations and made a Mark into the Cricketing World considering the circumstances we faced when two Top Sides forfeit the Home Series in a surprising fashion. Winning the T20 WC from here would be a Euphoria and Bonus of course.

Talking about the specific match against Namibia, What a class Babar Azam is. He secured the innings and match when Rizwan was struggling big time. Great batting show up overall. However, I would have sent Asif Ali in place of Hafeez there to express himself Freely but good to see Hafeez got some runs in a stylish fashion. This would have definitely boosted his confidence. Overall in the batting squad, I still believe that Fakhar Zaman is a misfit here. I don't understand what's his role is at Number 3. His style suits opening slot while Openers are already there. This slot suits Hayder Ali if we talk about selection on Merit.

The bowling was bad against Namibia to be very honest. We could have lost this game had it been a different side. Its a cause of concern.

The Game against Scotland? I would still say have rest someone and try your bench strength just one or two players. Way to go!!

It sounds like someone is already down and out and a Final Blow comes up to totally finish them. However, India has to play out of their Skin with a heavy margin victory in order to have chances in the Semis. The game against Newzeland and Scotland is first so this would add up extra pressure on the Indian side. I would say again that there is no middle ground. Either they have to perform well or Afghans will give a final blow and this would be embarrassing for the team. They have to play for the pride as well.

Honestly, I might be one of the few Indians who is hoping for an Afghan victory here. My reasons being that the team has to be shaken/brought back to reality- they have been living in a bubble, wherein they feel they are doing nothing wrong. So, a defeat, would force out this thinking and perhaps the BCCI would start looking at building a team for the future.

You aren't. Twitterverse is full of such posts although their language is a lot more colorful and their reason for wishing the team to lose isn't as noble either.

I think we are going to lose this game though. There are two possible scenarios that Kohli is going to have play out

Overcompensate and make multiple changes to the team and the lineup, and ask to go on the attack leading to an epic collapse

Stay rigid with the team to show it will work and fall prey to Afghanistans attacking brand of cricket
