2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - India (UAE/Oman)

Interesting line-ups for the semis:

AUS v PAK : repeat of 2010 T20 semis (that Hussey game)
ENG v NZ : A high voltage match this

I firmly believe that we would have a Trans Tasman final- both team arequite under-rated, however, we know how the Aussies can transform, especially towards the business end of a tournament. The Kiwis- they do well to get over the line, but that's honestly what matters.
Don't discount Pakistan just yet. Even though I believe they are the weakest side of the four they have more experience on these conditions than the rest and with their form makes them a danger to any side.

I could honestly see any of the teams in the final and I don't think I can pick a winner out of the four

Yes, my friend!

The format is quite fickle and hence choosing a winner becomes more difficult at the business end of the tournament. Its more about holding your nerves in these match-ups, tbh.

Varun Chakravarthy 11 overs 0 for 71
Liam Livingstone 11 overs 4 for 64
Ravichandran Ashwin 12 overs 6 for 63

Can you believe it that he wasn't given a chance for the first couple of games against big teams? I can't!

Also Ashwin in Warm-up against Australia conceded 2/7 from his 2 overs.

Some questions that'll never be answered, along with the sudden decision to bring Ishan to open and put Hitman at No. 3 in a do or die match. But, no blame on the management as they would've thought of the advantages of this move.

As a Captain, Kohli should take the responsibility on behalf of the management because he was the one who was leading the side and not the management.

It seems we're ICC. Even if India out of WC, we have to paint the forum all india, else BCCI won't share revenue. :lol

India is gearing up for high profile PAYTM series guys.. Let's give importance to :aus::pak::eng: and :nzf: now. They fought hard and qualified for semi finals of WT20.

Who'll replace Jason roy? Given it's Abu Dhabi.. I'd say still Britts are favorite against Kiwis.

As of second semi goes... Winner of toss will win it.

Talking about tomorrow's Semi Final of England vs Newzeland, England is definitely hot favorite but NZ will be eyeing on leveling the score of the 2019 WC. Would be an interesting contest to watch tomorrow. I would say its 80-20 in favor of England in tomorrow's game.

Meanwhile, Shastri blaming IPL and bubble fatigue for the Matches loss, that's not the case in my view. The fact is better teams on the given days defeated Indian team. On part of VK, its sad to see him stepping down as Captain. When he was winning matches for you, He was termed as Ricky Ponting for India and now suddenly there are talks of not having him in the Squad even for the T20. He played a very good innings against Pakistan remember otherwise the team could have bowled out for 100 or 90 runs.

Ashwin certainly did well against the minnows in the group. ;)

I think Pakistan are the favourites. All the batsman have had time at the crease and done well (maybe with the exception of Fakhar). Babar and Rizwan are the best opener partnership in T20 and Shoaib looks superb at the end of the innings. The bowling is solid and has a bit of everything.

I think Australia and New Zealand are in that group of maybe six decent T20 teams but not as consistent as England, India and Pakistan. One-off matches that could have a result go their way. Hopefully the toss won't be too influential in both matches.

I think it will be tough for England, although the batting can win matches we have relied on Buttler and Roy a lot with some Ok contributions from others. I thought Morgan's innings v Sri Lanka was very good. Bairstow looks ropey, maybe opening could help him just unleash. Although I would quite like Livingstone to open and have Billings coming in late. Although there is depth I think the amount of injuries is a big blow. Every team would struggle with that many significant players missing, I doubt many would get out of the group.

Shastri never blamed IPL and bubble fatigue. HE said that it plays a part. When non-Asian players talk about mental health we all support them saying oh yess.... Mental health first. When a team who has been on road since IPL last year (November, its November again).. the bubble fatigue does come into play. Not giving excuses, India were outplayed in the first match and looked even worst against New Zealand, but discrediting the fatigue is silly. It would be difficult to understand since Pakistan does not play as many internationals as India does and even as a fan I was fatigued watching the second edition of the IPL.

Prediction Time.

Semis - England and Pakistan gonna win their semi final matches.

Was thinking about Australia will peak at the right time or not? But Pakistan has the bowling to knock them in these conditions.
