2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - India (UAE/Oman)

If we really need a mascot then don't just have it for Afghanistan but for entire 2021 WT20...... I would just say bring back Stumpy <3

This is bullshit from CSA. I am all in for respect and racial justice but forcefully and arm twisting respect from players is not the way to go. I am 100% sure we have seen the last of de Kock for South Africa. He will become a kolpak player like others.

It's not bullshit. They're his employers, and would like him to behave a certain way while representing them:
I see why it might seem odd, but ultimately Cricket South Africa are his employers. Employers will routinely ask their employees to do certain things or dress a certain way to further the values that the employer wishes to present to the world. In this way, Quinton de Kock refusing to take the knee here is the same as refusing to wear your uniform while working at Tesco.

Also, Kolpak players don't exist anymore so that route isn't open; he'd just have to play as an overseas somewhere. Yorkshire and the Brisbane Heat perhaps?

Yes I get it that they are his employers and he has to behave a certain way, I am just frustrated because South Africa is loosing so many players for one or other reason. QDK is a big name to loose. I am worried South Africa might become another Zimbabwe. Lots of talent, lots of fans but nobody wants to play for the country.

Well done to Quinton De Kock for standing up against arm twisting!! He should be allowed to choose what he wants to do (even if that means he doesn't gesture in any way whatsoever).

Hope we see him in franchise leagues, especially the IPL. With the way CSA handled Faf Du Plessis and now this, they're front runners for the "worst cricket board" title.

Who would want to play for a country where a defeat can subject you to vicious abuse (e.g. Mohammed Shami), life threats (many Indian players in the past) and mental agony?

Franchise leagues are going to be a boon and I hope I live to see that day when players refuse the chance to play for the country (i.e. I am talking about the ones that are asked to play) and instead say "I would like to keep playing franchise leagues and get through my career"

He's a modern day Muhammad Ali.
