It is backfiring, not saying it wont but in 9 overs they are 64 instead of being 40-45 in 9. They might get bowled out cheaply but this is T20 and this is what the crowd has come to see.

Yes, but they also could've saved a couple wickets, been 90-3 after 15. That would've been a better position than this.
