What a great performance by Team Pakistan. The heart is saying out loud "Asif Ali You BEAUTY" "The Next Shahid Afridi -- Asif Ali Asif"
Overall, It was a fantastic game of cricket. Great fight by Afghanistan, they certainly have a bright future.
As for Team Green, I believe we have achieved a lot so far alhamdulillah. We were so down and out. The sudden quitting of tournaments from Newzeland and England proved blessing in disguise for us. We organized a quick high end domestic tournament, tested our players and strength, and did some handy adjustments to the Final World Cup Squad. All selected players except Hafeez got great match practice and here we are Hot Favorites to Win the World Cup
That's still a long journey though however I would say we have already made a HUGE MARK in the World Cricket that We are Here and the World Cricket needs a strong, unpredictable, and a great team like Pakistan entertaining the Fans across the Globe.
Coming to the individual performances, Hafeez is looking totally out of form, he is slogging with a loose bat. On the other hand, Shoaib Malik is now as mature batsman as he could ever. Truly a Gem and inspiration for the younger players. His huge SIX to Rashid Khan and taking the innings forward has a role in the end result.
While Asif Ali batting was totally insane and powerful. It was unimaginable. Loved when he did not take a single in the 18th over. He wanted to take strike himself. Way to go Pakistan into the Semis. In the next two matches, Shaheen should be rested atleast in one game, I would say in the game against Nambia, Haider Ali should be tried out as well as Muhammad Waseem.
As far as weak link goes in Pakistan line-up. I would say Hasan Ali is the weakest link at this stage while Rauf is though fantastic, he lacks bit of experience. He will get more better with the passage of time. There is a celebration time in Pakistan and Cricketing fans are rejoicing.
Would love to have a bilateral series with Afghanistan in future. I will talk about the next matches and teams in my next posts.
